Ultimate Health Personal Training Offers Fitness At Your Doorstep In Studio City

If you’ve been looking to embark on a path to better health and fitness, but a busy lifestyle has impleaded your progress, we believe we can help. By having us come to you, you save driving time, the time it takes to find parking, and you don’t have to wait for busy equipment; all well you avoid other distractions. It’s all quite easy, you book the appointment time, we show up and the training begins.

How it works

We like to start with a complementary online consultation. We will go over your health and exercise history, short and long term goals as well as discus your present diet and supplementation. This information will help us to design the appropriate starting program for you. This program will continue to evolve as you adapt. We will then discus where you’d like to do your sessions (this can vary if you like) such as your home or a nearby park. We will then set a time and date to begin. If you have exercise equipment at home that’s great, but we also carry kettle bells, adjustable dumbbells, various types of resistance bands, a Bosu stability ball and even battle ropes.

Whether you workout at the gym, do Pilates or Yoga, or do some resistance training something we all should participate in is zone 2 cardio. Zone 2 cardio is a prolonged session 30+ minutes of movement at a pace where you can just still carry a conversation. The benefits of zone 2 are a VO2 max increase (your bodies ability to utilize oxygen, a marker of heart health), improved blood flow including in the brain and of course calorie burning which at this pace comes from stored bodyfat. One of my personal favorite places near me in Studio City to hike and get my zone 2 in is Fryman Canyon. The trails are great with excellent views that make you forget you live in a city of millions.

Fitness Tips For Starters

Besides zone 2 cardio here are a few other exercises you can do whether you exercise on your own or while considering help. Balance or what we fitness trainers refer to as stability is extremely important for everyone. As we age our stability gets worse eventually increasing the risk of falls. Even athletes need to diligently train stability. Here are a couple of simple stability exercises to start at home. 1. Stand in a doorway so you can grab on if necessary, stand on 1 leg. aim for 30 seconds then repeat other side. 2. Now put your feet inline, heel touching toe. Stand this way for 30 seconds each side. When this gets easy try the same exercises with your eyes closed. Make sure you can grab on as you lose your balance. Now here are couple for strength. 1. Use a sturdy chair and sit down. Place feet evenly at hip width and stand up. Repeat 10-20 times. Perform 1 to 3 sets. This will strengthen the legs and help maintain lower body bone density. 2. For upper body you can do either wall push-ups (stand leaning forward and push yourself back and forth from the wall, knee push-ups or full push-ups if you can. Again 10-20 reps for 1-3 sets. These exercises should only take a few minutes to perform..
